About Me

Hey, Y’all, I’m Lauren.

I’m a Georgia peach living near New Orleans with my husband Joe & my darlins’ Mary Frances, Ellie, and Georgia Anne. Which means I’m a girl mom x3, didn’t see that one coming!

I’m a Registered Dietitian, though I rarely lead with that one, lest someone start scoping out what’s on my plate. I am a college professor with a Ph.D. in Public Health and I love teaching anyone who will listen about nutrition, maternal & child health, and health equity.

I live with several mental health and chronic disease diagnoses and have spent more time in doctors’ offices and hospitals than a lot of people my age. I am learning new ways to support my health and learning over and over again that healing isn’t linear. As a result of my professional training and personal experiences, I’m passionate about everyone being an informed consumer and their own wellness advocate, especially Mamas.

I also love iced coffee, green juice, Rosé, kombucha, and Topo Chico, aka I have eight beverages at all times. I overuse exclamation points and emojis, French Fries are my favorite food, and I can sing the alphabet backward. True story.

In this space, you’ll find encouragement in motherhood or whatever season of life you’re in, thoughts on faith & growth, strategies to unlearn nutrition myths, tools & tips to simplify and cultivate wellness in your home, and a whole lot of grace and laughter.

I’d love to learn more about you! Comment or follow me on social media!
